Not every trip needs a long lens. This tour is built around light: the right viewpoint at the right hour, and the patience to stay after everyone else has gone down for dinner.

We plan it around season, moon phase and forecast, so the itinerary is different each time. Clear, moonless nights go to the stars. Unsettled weather goes to cloud, mist and atmosphere.

The locations

Reflections in still mountain lakes, ridgelines at blue hour, old timber huts under the stars, and the peaks everyone knows from angles most people never see. We choose locations for the conditions on the day, not from a fixed list.

The photography

By day: composition, foreground, filters, and exposing for a scene that runs from snow to deep shadow. By night: focusing on stars, choosing exposure time and ISO, and lighting a foreground without flattening it.

Leaving no trace

We keep to paths, keep the noise down and keep lights low at night. Alpine meadows and lake shores are fragile, and we share them with the animals on our other tours.
