About

Photo-first. Wildlife-first.

RSW stands for Rock Star Wildlife. We are based near Lucerne, at the foot of Pilatus, and that mountain is where most of our tours happen. We guide in English, all year round: private days, small groups and multi-day workshops.

How we work

Four things we do not compromise on

  1. 01

    The animal comes first

No baiting, no playback, no nest disturbance. We limit group size and time on a subject, and the animal’s behaviour decides the distance.

    Read the ethical wildlife policy
  2. 02

    Built for photographers

Days are timed around light and animal activity. We would sooner spend three hours in one good position than tick off five average ones.

  3. 03

    Coaching at your level

All levels are welcome. Beginners get the foundations; experienced photographers get help refining composition and timing.

  4. 04

    Honest about the odds

Wildlife does not keep appointments and we never promise a sighting. What we promise is the right place at the right time of year, and a day that is worth it even when the animals are elsewhere.

Beyond Switzerland

The same fieldcraft, further from home

Our photography does not stop at the border. A few frames from other places.
